The compact and lightweight heads are specially designed for sanding robots, adapted for continuous use and suitable for mounting on low payload robotic arms. The Mirka automatic sander is supplied with an ISO 9409-1-80-6-M8 coupling, which is easy to match to the adapter. Extremely easy to install - the sanding head has both a quick-connect cable and a quick-install vacuum hose connection.

Mirka automatic sanding heads can be adapted to work with Universal Robots (UR) collaboration solutions using a special UR mounting kit.

The Mirka AIROS 48V electric sander is IP66 rated, suitable for all sanding jobs, including wet sanding, and is safe for use with hazardous materials. Compact design, brushless motor and strong aluminum housing ensure long service life and safer operation. Designed for industrial use, Mirka AIROS requires very little maintenance and has been thoroughly tested. In industrial applications it can last up to 18 months without maintenance.*

*Tested at the Volkswagen factory in Wolfsburg. The sanding head selected for testing has been in production for 18 months and no preventive maintenance has been performed during that time. The sanding head worked perfectly and there was no need to take breaks in use.

To get you up and running faster, we provide a UR mounting kit that includes the Mirka tool and its motor drive cabinet, cables and the required UR adapter flange.
