Preparation:
- First step. Make sure the appliance is waterproof before you start scratch removal. Also seal all openings. Evaluate the level of scratches so that you can choose the correct abrasive mixture (mixture No. 10 is with the coarsest abrasive particles, mixture No. 50 is with the finest).
Sanding:
- First step. Start sanding by applying a small amount of "Remint 10" abrasive mixture to the screen of the damaged machine.
- Second step. Place the "Remint COOPER 77 mm" floppy disk on the Mirka "Deros 350CV" or Mirka "AROS-B 150NV" sander and sand until you have completely removed the scratch and had a smooth, matt surface. For additional sanding, you can use the abrasive mixture "Remint 30", with which you sand for about 1-2 minutes.
- Third step. Before polishing, rinse the sanded device with water and dry it with a Mirka "330 x 330 mm, yellow" cloth.
Polishing:
- First step. Start polishing with "Remint H" polishing paste together with "Remint 77 mm Grip Step1" polishing felt applied on a Mirka "AP 300NV" or Mirka "RPS 300CV" polishing machine. Polish for about 6-8 minutes, each time applying "Remint H" polishing paste. Use water to cool the unit during polishing. The temperature must be kept below 45 degrees.
- Second step. For best results, continue polishing with "Remint H" paste, "Remint 80 mm PSA Liner Step2" polishing felt applied on a Mirka "AP 300NV" or Mirka "RPS 300CV" polisher. Polish for about 3-4 minutes. If necessary, use additional polishing paste and water.
- Third step. When finished, dry with a Mirka “330 x 330 mm, yellow” cloth.
