Below are the steps to achieve high quality gloss on wooden surfaces with Mirka Golden Finish system:

Process of glossy surface for larger wooden surfaces:

Sanding:

  1. Start sanding with „Golden Finish-1" sanding disc using Mirka „Deros 650CV" sander at a speed of approx. 6000-8000 rpm.
  2. After cleaning the surface and spraying the water layer, switch to sanding with „Golden Finish-2" 150 mm sanding disc. 

Polishing:

  1. Start polishing with „PS 1437" polisher, yellow „Golden Finish Pad-1" polishing sponge and „Polarshine 20" polishing paste. Polisher speed approx. 1000 rpm.
  2. The last polishing step is polishing with black „Golden Finish Pad-2" polishing sponge and „Polarshine 5" polishing compound. 

Process of glossy surface for smaller wooden surfaces: 

Sanding:

  1. Start by sanding the dry surface with Mirka „Deros 325CV" sander using yellow „Golden Finish Pad 1" polishing sponge. Polisher approximate speed 5000-7000 rpm. 
  2. Use „Golden Finish 2" and interface, spray the surface and abrasive with water and sand. 

Polishing:

  1. Polishing with Mirka „ARP-B" polisher and yellow sponge „Golden Finish Pad 1" using „Polarshine 20" paste. Polisher speed 800-1200 rpm. 
  2. Finish with black sponge „Golden Finish Pad 2" and „Polarshine 5" compound. Always shake all polishing compounds before use.
